Lucie Spedicato

Lucie Spedicato was born in Paris, France, in 2001. She began taking harp lessons at the age of seven.

She developed an interest in composition at an early age and was able to perform her first pieces while still very young. In 2019, she was accepted into Xavier de Maistre’s harp class at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater, where—in addition to successfully participating in several competitions—she has established herself as an enthusiastic and energetic performer of contemporary music.

In addition to her experience with various orchestras—which has allowed her to participate in numerous contemporary works and world premieres—she regularly collaborates closely with composers. It is therefore no coincidence that in 2024—while pursuing her master’s degree in harp—she began a bachelor’s degree in composition in the class of Prof. Dr. Gordon Kampe. Her keen curiosity and open-mindedness drive her to write for a variety of genres; structure and narrative play an important role in her music. Her pieces have already been performed at the Theater Münster, as well as at the Feminale Hamburg 2026 and the Mozart Nature Fest 2026, where she was selected as “Composer in Residence.””
