Kiloh Lee

Born in Germany in 1996, composition student Kiloh Lee studied for one year at Gachon University in South Korea and for two years at the Saar College of Music, studying composition with Arnulf Herrmann and electroacoustic music with Gary Berger.

He has been continuing his composition studies since 2020 at the Lübeck University of Music with Prof. Dieter Mack and Prof. Dr. Katharina Rosenberger.

As a performer, he was a sample player in Thomas Kessler’s piece “Aufbruch” for orchestra and five computers at the final concert of the Saarbrücken Conductors’ Workshop with the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in collaboration with the Studio for Experimental and Electronic Music at the Saar College of Music. He wrote the composition “Self-Portrait” for the glockenspiel concert in the St. Johann town hall tower to mark the 20th anniversary of the glockenspiel. He also performed a violin solo work and a purely electronic work in the Klangrausch Saarbrücken event series.
Kiloh Lee gained practical experience in the field of electronic music by setting up and dismantling various concerts at the former EUROPE I radio station, as well as in the context of the “Resonanzen / Résonances“ event series and in a concert by the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra with the Studio for Experimental and Electronic Music of the Hfm Saar in the Congresshalle Saarbrücken in the ”Mouvements” series, as well as in a concert by the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra at the Funkhaus Halberg.
