Huihui Cheng

Huihui Cheng (1985), studied composition by professor Guoping Jia, Caspar Johannes Walter and electronic composition by Prof. Marco Stroppa and Piet Johan Meyer. She attended SWR Vocal Ensemble Academy and “Cursus”, practical training in composition and computer music at IRCAM, Paris. Her music has been played by ensemble Courage, Ensemble TIMF Korea, Ascolta Ensemble Stuttgart, New Ensemble Amsterdam, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Saarbrücken radio symphony orchestra, Radio France, Vocal Ensemble EXAUDI. She has won the first prize of “Con Tempo” 2007 in China and the Grand Prize of “Isang Yun” International Composition Competition 2011, She received Giga-Hertz Produktion Preis 2016 Karlsruhe and she is the fellowship of “Musiktheater der Heute” 2016-18. Recently she has awarded scholarship of the Baden Württemberg Art Foundation, Schloss Wiepersdorf, Künsterhaus Schöppingen and Foundation Camargo. She will publish her portrait DVD by WERGO in the series of “edition contemporary music Germany” in 2019.
