Yuwen Huang
Yuwen Huang (b. 1997, China) is a Hamburg-based time-based media artist, concept and visual designer working across moving image, installation, and performance. Her practice moves between documentary textures and fictional construction, drawing on everyday observation and social news to explore identity, migration, and transcultural experience through humor, absurdity, and layered narrative structures. Treating art as a form of alternative journalism, she creates works that transform collective anxieties into intimate and immersive encounters. Her works have been shown at Kunstquartier Bethanien (Berlin), ICAT – Institute for Contemporary & Transfer (Hamburg), resonanzraum (Hamburg), Fleetstreet Theater (Hamburg), and NUKLEUS Open-Air Cinema (Kiel).
